Our Partners

Jeff Westeinde, P.Eng

Jeff, in an attempt to make-up for the lack of letters behind his name, has spent most of his career redefining what is possible for brownfield redevelopment. He co-founded and led Canada’s largest environmental remediation company, prior to joining as a partner in Windmill Developments. When not executing the-seemingly-impossible to make derelict sites shine, Jeff can found hiking his 2,000 acre wilderness preserve and teaching the next generation how to open champagne bottles with a sword.

Peter Busby, C.M.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOC. AIA, FRAIC, ARCHITECT AIBC, ARCHITECT AAA, MOAA, BCID, LEED FELLOW, DSC (HON.)

We’re still not sure what all those letters mean behind his name, but they show he means business. Peter’s won more awards for architecture and sustainability than Kim Kardashian has shoes. He is a founder of the Canada Green Building Council, a winner of the Order of Canada, and a LEED Fellow of the US Green Building Council. He has designed some of the most innovative and sustainable projects in the world, including Dockside Green (Victoria), Almono (Pittsburgh), and the Centre for Interactive Sustainability (Vancouver). When not setting the bar higher for sustainable design projects, Peter can be found soaking in his wood fired hot tub on the deck of his off-grid cabin, daydreaming about the monster salmon that he caught and released.

Scott Demark - MBA, P.Eng

As passionate about renewable energy as he is about his wife and children, Scott has been a leading sustainability innovator in the built environment for the past fifteen years. Scott has led the development of renewables-based district energy systems, and overseen the construction of LEED Platinum high-rises. When not waxing poetic about sewage heat recovery, he can be found coaching hockey, on his bike, or lounging on his rooftop vegetable garden on his solar-powered home.

Rodney Wilts – JD, LEED AP

As comfortable in a canoe as in a boardroom, Rodney has dedicated his career to leveraging market solutions to enhancing health, wellness and sustainability. Rodney started his career as an environmental lawyer, founded Canada’s first green building supply centre, and led the master planning of Zibi (an endorsed One Planet Community). When not crafting compelling visions for highly innovative mixed-use developments, Rodney can be found with his wife, daughter and dog paddling wilderness rivers in Quebec or skiing backcountry routes in fresh powder.
